1. About Ticketlink

Ticketlink Africa ("Ticketlink", "we", "us") is an event ticketing platform that connects event organisers with attendees across East Africa. We provide technology infrastructure for ticket sales, payment processing, QR code generation and gate management. Our platform operates at ticketlink.co.ke.

Ticketlink is operated by IHNI Group, registered in Kenya.

2. Definitions

3. Buyer Terms

3.1 Ticket Purchases

By purchasing a ticket you enter into a contract with the event organiser, not with Ticketlink. Ticketlink acts as a technology intermediary and payment facilitator only.

You must provide accurate personal information including your name, email address and phone number at checkout. Inaccurate information may result in your ticket being invalid at the gate.

3.2 Ticket Delivery

Tickets are issued digitally with a unique QR code immediately following successful payment. Tickets are sent to the email address provided at checkout. It is your responsibility to ensure the email address is correct.

3.3 Guest Checkout

You may purchase tickets without creating an account. Tickets purchased as a guest can be retrieved by entering your booking reference on the My Tickets page. Creating an account allows you to access all your tickets from one place.

3.4 Ticket Validity

Each ticket contains a unique QR code that can only be scanned once. A ticket that has been admitted at the gate cannot be used again. Duplicate tickets are automatically rejected at scanning.

3.5 Resale

Unauthorised resale of tickets at above face value is prohibited. Ticketlink is not responsible for tickets purchased through unofficial channels.

4. Organiser Terms

4.1 Account Approval

To sell tickets on Ticketlink you must apply for an organiser account and be approved by the Ticketlink team. Approval is at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to reject or revoke organiser accounts without explanation.

4.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activity on your organiser account. You must keep your login credentials secure. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.

4.3 Event Listings

You warrant that all event information you publish is accurate, truthful and not misleading. You are responsible for ensuring your event takes place as advertised. Ticketlink is not liable for cancelled, postponed or materially changed events.

4.4 Refund Policy

You must publish a clear refund policy on your event page. In the absence of a stated refund policy, buyers are not entitled to refunds. Ticketlink does not issue refunds on behalf of organisers.

4.5 Prohibited Events

You may not list events that are illegal, promote hate speech, involve unlicensed firearms, drugs or other prohibited substances, or violate any applicable law in Kenya or the jurisdiction where the event takes place.

5. Platform Fees

Ticketlink charges a platform fee of 4% of gross ticket revenue per transaction. This fee is automatically deducted before payout to the organiser. There are no setup fees or monthly charges for the standard tier.

Custom subdomain services (yourname.ticketlink.co.ke) are charged at KSh 1,500 per year or KSh 500 per event (30 days). These are billed separately and subject to availability.

Enterprise pricing with negotiated fee structures is available for high-volume organisers. Contact us to discuss.

Fees are subject to change with 30 days' notice to registered organisers.

6. Payments and Payouts

Payments are processed by Paystack in accordance with their terms of service. Ticketlink does not store card numbers or M-Pesa PINs. Buyer payments are received and held by Paystack until payout.

Organiser payouts are processed after the event has taken place, typically within 5–7 business days, subject to Paystack's settlement schedule. Payouts are made to the M-Pesa number or bank account registered on your organiser profile.

Ticketlink reserves the right to withhold payouts pending investigation of disputes, chargebacks or suspected fraud.

7. Refunds and Cancellations

Refunds are governed by the organiser's stated refund policy. Ticketlink is not a party to the refund obligation between organiser and buyer.

If an event is cancelled, the organiser is responsible for notifying buyers and processing refunds. Ticketlink may facilitate the refund process through the platform but is not liable for the refund amount.

Ticketlink may issue refunds at its discretion in cases of platform error, duplicate charges or payment processing failures.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

Violations may result in immediate account termination and, where applicable, referral to law enforcement.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Ticketlink platform — including the brand, design, code, and interface — is owned by IHNI Group. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute any part of the platform without written permission.

Event content (posters, descriptions, names) uploaded by organisers remains the property of the organiser. By uploading content you grant Ticketlink a non-exclusive licence to display that content on the platform for the purposes of promoting your event.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ticketlink is not liable for:

Our total liability in any matter is limited to the platform fees collected in the 30 days preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nairobi, Kenya. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users.
